🍯 Meet the Founder: Negin Mirsalehi
Who couldn’t help but wish they were as cute as Negin Mirsalehi, the founder of the Gisou brand. She began on the scene as an Instagram influencer around 2012 and could be spotted galavanting around the globe looking bombshell gorgeous dressed impeccably pretty.
Negin amassed several million followers in just a few years. Her decisions were watched closely, specifically about her hair. She has a luscious mane and everyone wanted to know her tricks. Negin eventually posted her secret. It was honey hair oil that she used from her family’s bee-farm.

Negin’s following had amassed to several million followers in just a few years and her decisions were watched closely, especially on beauty. She got used to her fans asking about her long, luscious hair, but never went into much detail besides mentioning she used a proprietary honey oil from her family’s bee garden. In 2014, Negin spontaneously posted about her family’s beekeeping business and to her surprise everyone was super curious about it.
Beekeeping has been in Nigen’s family for the last six generations. When her father moved from Iran to The Netherlands he built his own bee garden and it played a significant role in Nigen’s upbringing. Her mother was a hairdresser who eventually started using the honey from their farm to make haircare. Nigen’s mother created a honey-based oil that Negin and her sister grew up using, the same formula that would soon take the world by storm.
Nigen’s followers wanted to try the hair oil for themselves after seeing how beneficial it had been for Nigen’s own enviable locks, so in 2015 Gisou was born. Gisou is a haircare brand built solely around the honey from Nigen’s family’s bee garden.
